Classic Lawns at the Chili Cook Off!

Every February, the famous Sertoma Chili Cook-Off heats up Springfield! Since 1981, this event has become one of the city’s biggest fundraisers and parties. Dozens of local businesses serve up their best chili recipes for you to sample, enjoy, and vote on your favorites. Live bands, fun activities, great food, and drinks keep the party going all day.

Proceeds support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield, one of many charities proudly backed by Sertoma Clubs. Eating chili, hanging with friends, having fun—all for a great cause! Check out some pics from past Chili Cook-Offs below!

Come See Us!

ClassicLawns has been part of the Sertoma Chili Cook-Off since 2014. What started with a single 10′ x 10′ booth has grown to four! We go all out, decorating our booths with wild themes and rocking some pretty ridiculous costumes. It’s always a blast, but more than that, we love supporting Sertoma and helping raise thousands for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield.

And, of course… there’s chili. Lots and lots of chili. We cook up 25 gallons at our booth alone! Check out more about this year’s Sertoma Chili Cook-Off on our Facebook page!

Raise Money for Kids

This event is always a ton of fun, but the reason we all do this is to help children’s charities here in Springfield!  Help us out!  Feed our Fishbowl!  The Fishbowl is a figurative bowl that each booth at The Sertoma Chili Cook Off uses to raise money.  The booths raise money in a variety of methods.  

ClassicLawns sells our famous GROWING GRASS AND SMOKING WEEDS T-Shirts and can coozies!  Proceeds from the sale of our merchandise goes towards our Fishbowl which in turns helps kids!

While we go all out on our booth and costumes, (we have won several trophies for our booth, our showmanship, and our crazy outfits), ClassicLawns’ main goal is to always win the FATTEST FISHBOWL. We have won Fattest Fishbowl many times and we want to win AGAIN!
